It’s a great blessing to have our Pre-K students joining us at Mass this morning. Our goal is to have our school students participating in the daily Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Dear parents and our faithful parishioners of St. Joseph, I would like to personally invite you to our daily worship of our God. Daily Mass begins each day at 8:00AM Here is the reflection of today’s Gospel: Today’s Gospel reading is from Matthew 23:1-12, which invites us to reflect deeply on the theme of humility and sincerity in our relationship with God and others. In this passage, Jesus criticizes the hypocrisy of the religious leaders of his time and cautioning his disciples against following their example. He warns against seeking honor and recognition for oneself, instead of the importance of humility and service. As we meditate on these words, we are reminded of the dangers of pride and self-righteousness in our spiritual journey. It is easy to fall into the trap of seeking praise and approval from others. Jesus calls us to authenticity and integrity, urging us to live out our faith sincerely and humbly, without seeking to elevate ourselves above others. In our daily lives, it can be tempting to pursue success, recognition, and status, even in our religious practices. We may find ourselves seeking positions of authority or desiring praise for our good deeds. However, Jesus reminds us that true greatness lies in humility and service. We are called to imitate Christ, who humbled himself and took on the form of a servant for our sake. Are we seeking to glorify ourselves, or are we sincerely seeking to love and serve God and our neighbors? Let us pray for the grace to cultivate a spirit of humility and sincerity in all that we do, following the example of Jesus who came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
